I've never worked with photoshop or otherwise done any type of photo manip, so I cant tell you exactly how to make this better, but I can tell you what I notice on the onset.

First: Neat concept, but you see this kind of thing often. Nothing wrong with that, especially when your first starting out.

Second: The ball appears that it should be inside the grasp, but it is not. Why is that? Somehow the bottom should be erased to give the appearance of being inside the hand.

Third: The shiney effect is interesting but not believable, it looks like a partially see-through paper mesh of some kind.

I think with a little work and patience this could probably be a great picture. Keep putting up on the forums too so people with PS skills can give you a more in depth critique with more specifics. Good luck to you!

In the seventies

the reason the ball is outside of the hand is because I wanted to create the impression that it was glowing so brightly that there was a little glare on the outside of the hand, you know? like when you look at the sun between ur fingers, it kinda goes over the edge...

as for the shiny effect, I guess I should make that brighter, cause I was goin for surreal lol
